Today we received the beautiful new Bachmann Thomas & Friends Red Brake Coach. A lovely passenger car in the style of Annie & Claribel. Looks great running on the layout!
I am thinking of adding a few Chuggington HO Scale trains to my collection. We just got the wooden and Diecast versions of Emery in honor of my friends Emery (AFOL Man). What do you think? Should I get a few of the Chuggington series? I don’t think I will be getting more of the wooden or diecast versions, even though they are compatible with the Thomas the Tank Engine versions. J
Got a new Track Master set. More fun with Thomas & Friends! This set comes with motorized Percy and a Harold the Helicopter static model that attaches to a track section that moves from one track location to another. A great source of accidents!
We just added our latest addition to our Thomas & Friends HO Scale locomotive collection. We got Iron Bert. He was cheaper than Iron ‘Arry, so we didn’t get that one yet, but will soon. The Diesels do not perform as well as the Steamies on our track. I like the look, but these have been the worst performing Bachmann locomotives (engines) yet. Only a few more to get!
Had a contest between the 3 largest of the Thomas & Friends locomotives on my railroad: Spencer, Gordon, and Henry. Each had to pull all of the Sodor freight and passenger cars around the entire layout in the best time. Watch to see who wins.
These world strongest engine contests do take their tolls on the locomotives. We are working on another speed competition that will take place on a test track instead of the Sodor layout. Stay tuned!
This is a first for our HO Scale purchases of Bachmann Thomas & Friends products: Duck’s face was not attached inside the package. We were able to reattach it and the moving eyes work fine now, but not before a couple of funny cross-eyed moments!
The Bahcmann Duck looks great! It was one that many had asked me to get for a while now and after getting it I can understand why so many people like Duck. It is a great model and a neat looking character.
We are getting closer to having the complete Bachmann lineup. Still need Diesel, Donald, Douglas, Oliver,Iron Arry, Iron Bert, Celebration Thomas and Skarloey. Of course, 3 of these have not even been officially released here, but have been announced. We also need to get the rest of the rail cars. Thanks for watching our videos!
We had a race with our various Thomas & Friends locomotives to see which is the fastest. See the video to find the winner. We will do another in the future as some of the locomotives don’t perform as well on the crossings and switch tracks. It was fun doing this and there were a couple of accidents.
A-Team train is working fine despite be 30 years old. We will be applying the stickers and combining it with the A-Team Slot Cars.
The Bachmann Sound Value locomotive was missing parts. The store I bought it from (Bargain Hunt) said I could contact the manufacture and they would send the replacement parts or a new item. I didn’t feel like dealing with the hassle. If it had been a road name that I really like I might have done that.
These sets are so much fun to watch. I was working a way to combine not just THomas Big Loader and Thomas Big Big Loader, but also the Mail Delivery Big Loader. I know how to attach it, I just to get the right transition tracks. Will look for some on eBay. The we will make Thomas’ Big Big Big Big Loader and Mail Delivery!
