DUPLO is what kept my YouTube pulse alive

When I began taking YouTube seriously, I found like many others, it’s hard to get noticed and grow at first. I tried many different things. However, usually what I tried was already done. I noticed that most of the LEGO related channels stayed completely away from DUPLO. So I posted a few DUPLO train videos. This quickly became my most popular videos. My top ten from the last 2 years always included 8 or 9 DUPLO videos.

Sadly, others started to figure it out. Now that some of the more popular Russian and European channels have posted stuff, my views have suffered. It’s interesting that some posted videos a full 2 years after me, but now those videos are up in the search and mine are down. I’m going to be remaking mine and see if turnabout is FairPlay – lol

Look at my old LEGO train table

This is my old table and setup for my LEGO trains and city. This is about to get s major reorganization. I have my new area painted and set up. All that is left to do is paint the table and after the paint dries enough we can begin setting things up again. I also need to at some point change the fluorescent lighting to LED lighting, but that can wait for now. With my new set up the backgrounds and lighting should be much better!

Lionel James the Red Engine

Here is one of my early videos filming with a GoPro Hero 3+

I didn’t know about all the features and options on the camera at that time. I need to redo the video of this Lionel Thomas & Friends set – James the Red Engine. I love these trains. Will be featuring more Lionel trains in coming months. I will be remaking my review and play of this set.

LEGO Train Display at 2013 NMRA

Here are some scenes from the LEGO display that was at the 2013 NMRA Train Show. Most of the participants here are in the LUG I have recently joined (DixieLUG). I plan to be more active with the LUG and create my in MOCs to take to these shows in the future.

Percy the Small Engine track jump!

Percy makes a daring decision to jump track and get out of the traffic jam.

Hello world! I have just started a new blog and website for TrainTsarFun. Trying to keep a little separation from the train world and LEGO world except where it overlaps.

This is your very first post. Click the Edit link to modify or delete it, or start a new post. If you like, use this post to tell readers why you started this blog and what you plan to do with it. Happy blogging!
