We have added a new expansion pack and an O Scale Box car for the 50th anniversary of Winnie the Pooh to our collection. We set up most of our track in the basement and tested how much the characters could pull. ‘Arry was the first to pull. Some of the longer cars couldn’t make the ‘S’ curves so we had to take them off.
Lionel train set (not the electric track version). In the style of Geotrax (a Fisher Price product), but not completely compatible. We tested it out in this video.
I actually do not know if people read this. I just opened another O Scale Lionel THomas the Tank Engine set (it was a store return) and as expected, the remote did not work. I saw a bunch of these returned. SO got them at a good price. Only part is the remote which I think is either a defective board or loose connection.
I am thinking of giving away one of the Thomas Locomotives if I can fix the remote. What do you think? Should I do a giveaway drawing? Let me know either on twitter or YouTube. I am still trying to figure all this social media stuff out. So if somebody says something I will know they read this.
Thanks!
New channel trailer for my YouTube channel. I have big goals for this channel. Thanks for subscribing!
Now looking for N Scale version of Thomas with Annie & Claribel as well as TrackMaster and any other motorized versions.
This is our 3 Thomas & Friends G Scale set. All 3 are different track. This is the newer Lionel G Scale Track. We also have James with the older style track and Percy with Bachmann track. The couplers can be changed from Knuckle couplers to European style couplers. Would like to set up track outside with these eventually!
We just got the James the Red Engine G Scale or Large Scale train set made by Lionel from 1994! It is a really neat set. From the “Shining Time Station” era of Thomas & Friends. Has moving eyes and swappable faces. Despite its age it performed great! This is our second Large Scale train. The first was made by Bachmann:
Will have to get them out together to compare.
Have had problems with both of my Liionel Thomas the Tank Engine sets. Have to use standard batteries and not rechargeable in the remote and one remote doesn’t work at all. Upon doing research it appears that there is a manufacturing defect with the remotes. Ththat itey tend to have a continuity problem between the batteries and the brains of the remote. I’m about to test it out in a 3rd that picked up at Bargsin Hunt. It appears that it is a returned item and I’m guessing it was returned because it did not work. I even. I actually forgot about a 3rd one that I exchanged at Tuesday Morning. I guy at the store opened I fresh pack of batteries to test it and sure enough he pile not get it to work either!
So we will try it again!
